Breaking Bad

Without a shadow of a doubt, I think that currently on TV, Breaking Bad is the most influential and most gripping drama series we've seen in years. It is a perfect example of how a television drama should be. I wish I'd have found out about it sooner.

The plot, the characters, their development throughout the series', how they interact with one another and the outstanding performances from the actors help drive this drama forward.

The show will definitely influence me in future projects; whilst watching some of the behind the scenes footage of the show, we're showed how many of the memorable scenes were captured. Prior to watching the behind the scenes, I never thought it was possible to capture such sharp and powerful imagery through the use of a cameraman holding the camera in one hand, and running along (or following) the character on-screen.

The show has taught me how characters can develop within the world of the film, and that more than often, the audience know more about the story than what the actors do within the world of the film, that of which is a powerful technique that I would love to try and incorporate into future projects.
